A tiny X newsroom: watchlist, view thresholds, pattern teardown, a draft, and you post it yourself

You scroll X for hours every morning and still don't know what to post.

What hurt

Isla Grace (@Its_IslaGrace) built a Grok Bot that does the scrolling before she wakes up. It doesn't predict trends; it watches what is already earning attention. Not affiliated with xAI.

What to install or create

Scout follows about 18 accounts you want to learn from, ignores replies, skips posts under 5K views and stars posts over 10K. It also checks about 20 fresh posts from outside your bubble from the last 48 hours. Then it tears the winners apart (hooks, keywords, structures, tools, CTAs), a Draft step writes a brand-new post plus a short video idea, and a Board tracks what was found, used and still to ship.

Bots

  • No new bot. Follow the first-run steps.

Plugins

  • X

Routines

  • Scout. Overnight, before you wake. Scan the watchlist and fresh posts, star winners, write the teardown and a draft.

The prompt

This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/Its_IslaGrace/status/2108828870921040258 (credit @Its_IslaGrace).
  2. 2List about 18 accounts you actually want to learn from.
  3. 3Set the thresholds: ignore replies, skip under 5K views, star over 10K.
  4. 4Ask for a teardown of each winner (hook, structure, CTA) and one new draft in your topic.
  5. 5Keep a simple board of found / used / to ship, and post only what you rewrote yourself.

Approval fence

The bot never publishes. You read, cut what sounds wrong, rewrite in your voice, and post it yourself.

What to tweak

Learn why people stopped scrolling, not how to rewrite the tweet.
