X posting skill: check for duplicates, verify after, never blind-retry

A post that seems not to go through gets clicked again and goes out twice.

What hurt

@stansKoya shared the core of their X posting bot's skill in Chinese: open your profile and the target post to confirm it isn't already posted, post one at a time, press Ctrl+Enter when a mention popup covers the button, wait 30 seconds and refresh to verify, retry only once after a second check, stop on rate limits, and end with a list of every post. Quoted as written. Not affiliated with xAI.

What to install or create

Pre-check → one at a time → verify after 30s → single retry → stop on limits → report list.

The prompt

X posting rules: no double posts (author-quoted)

Quoted from @stansKoya — as published. Do not invent a second system prompt.

(Author's Chinese original, quoted as written)
Ctrl+Enter

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/stansKoya/status/2113056473806672180 (credit @stansKoya).
  2. 2Paste the author-quoted rules into your posting bot.
  3. 3Ask it to save them as its posting skill.
  4. 4Approve posts as usual.
  5. 5Check the final list of post types, source links, and new links.

Approval fence

Keep your usual approval before anything is published.

What to tweak

Steal the rule: never re-post until you've checked, even after an error.
