On the bike: Grok Voice → Cursor cloud agent fixes the GPX mid-ride

A bad GPX ruins the ride — and you should not have to stop and open a laptop to fix it.

What hurt

Mike P (@mikepat711) found a broken GPX mid-ride. He launched Grok Voice from the phone, talked through Shokz headphones, told the bot the file was messed up, and asked it to send the file to a Cursor cloud agent (Fable 5.1), have it fix and re-upload to Ride with GPS. He kept riding until a ping said it was done, synced to Garmin, and continued. Tip only — no invented prompt. Not affiliated with xAI.

What to install or create

Voice from the phone. Bot hands the file to a Cursor cloud agent. You ride until the ping.

Bots

  • Ride ops

Takes voice bug report, dispatches GPX to Cursor cloud agent, pings when re-upload is ready.

Plugins

  • None on day one. Follow the first-run steps.

Routines

  • None on the first run. Watch one manual pass first.

The prompt

This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/mikepat711/status/2101358398696505727. Tip only — do not invent a system prompt.
  2. 2Before the ride: make sure Grok Voice works with your headphones and the bot can reach a Cursor cloud agent.
  3. 3When a GPX is wrong: Voice the symptom + “send this file to Cursor cloud agent, fix, re-upload to Ride with GPS.”
  4. 4Keep riding until the ping. Sync the fixed file to your Garmin (or equivalent) and verify the route.
  5. 5Keep unrelated sends and spends behind your yes.

Approval fence

Bot may call a cloud agent and overwrite the GPX you name. No other sends or spends without your yes.

What to tweak

Steal voice-dispatch → cloud fix → ping. Hands stay on the bars.
