Two Grok Bots: scout + tailor CV for ATS, six offers

Hand-tailoring every CV for ATS ate 6–8 unpaid hours a day.

What hurt

Wojciech (@wojciech_jelen) lost a job to AI, then pointed two Grok Bot agents at the hunt for four weeks and got six offers. Scout finds postings via real browser; tailor rewrites the CV to the exact posting keywords. Humans still apply and interview — bots prepare, they do not impersonate. Not affiliated with xAI.

What to install or create

Two bots: Scout and Tailor. Browser on. You submit every application.

Bots

  • Scout

Finds postings in the browser. Never applies.

  • Tailor

Rewrites CV to the posting keywords. You submit.

Plugins

  • Browser

    Required

Routines

  • None on the first run. Watch one manual pass first.

The prompt

This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/wojciech_jelen/status/2109693416426635699 (credit @wojciech_jelen).
  2. 2Create Scout: search target boards for roles you want; output links + must-have keywords only.
  3. 3Create Tailor: given a posting + your master CV, produce a tailored version highlighting exact keywords.
  4. 4You review and submit. Keep a sheet of applied roles.
  5. 5Fence: bots never create portal accounts or click Apply.

Approval fence

Do not submit applications, message recruiters, or accept offers without your yes.

What to tweak

Steal the scout→tailor split. ATS keywords first; you still hit Submit.
