Tesla Hunter bot: finds configs, emails dealers, you test-drive

Family car hunt is tabs and phone tag. Bot emails dealers; humans drive.

What hurt

Andrew (@HumanPerson) spun up a dedicated Tesla Hunter Grok Bot while helping his sister and mom. It made itself an email, found cars matching the checklist, emailed dealerships to confirm availability, then received dealer replies directly. Same day: test drive + deposit on her configuration; mom got interested too. Tip only — no invented prompt. Not affiliated with xAI or Tesla.

What to install or create

One Hunter bot + its own mailbox. Checklist first. You approve every dealer email and every deposit.

Bots

  • Tesla Hunter

Finds matching inventory, drafts dealer emails from its mailbox. Stops before send/deposit unless allowed.

Plugins

  • Gmail

    Required

  • Browser

    Optional

Files

  • Must-have config checklist (trim, color, FSD, budget, region).

Routines

  • None on the first run. Watch one manual pass first.

The prompt

This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/HumanPerson/status/2101796731318898717.
  2. 2Create Tesla Hunter with a dedicated bot email and your config checklist.
  3. 3Approve the first dealer emails. Route replies to the same mailbox.
  4. 4You schedule test drives and place any deposit yourself.

Approval fence

Do not email dealers, commit, or place deposits without your yes. No fake identity.

What to tweak

Steal bot-owns-inbox for dealer chase. Humans still sign and drive.
