Tag @bot under any X post to hand the task to your own Grok Bot

You see something useful on X and lose it in the scroll before you can act on it.

What hurt

Larsen Cundric (@larsencc) announced that @bot tagging went live: reply to any post with @bot and a task, and it lands in your Grok Bot. It works in replies, posts, and quotes. Not affiliated with xAI.

What to install or create

Reply under a post with @bot plus what you want: add it to a Notion reading list, remind you tomorrow, summarize the thread, or draft a reply. The task shows up in your Grok Bot with the post attached.

Bots

  • No new bot. Follow the first-run steps.

Plugins

  • X

    Required

  • Notion

    Optional

Routines

  • None on the first run. Watch one manual pass first.

The prompt

@bot tag examples (author-quoted)

Quoted from @larsencc — as published. Do not invent a second system prompt.

@bot add this to my Notion reading list
@bot remind me to read this tomorrow
@bot summarize this thread
@bot draft a reply to this

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/larsencc/status/2107616555685360072 (credit @larsencc).
  2. 2Make sure the X account you use is connected to your Grok Bot.
  3. 3Under a post you want to keep, reply: @bot remind me to read this tomorrow.
  4. 4Open Grok Bot and check the task arrived with the post attached.
  5. 5Try the others (Notion reading list, summarize this thread); for “draft a reply”, review the draft before you post it yourself.

Approval fence

“Draft a reply” should stay a draft. Read it before anything gets posted under your name.

What to tweak

Capture the task at the moment you see it — one reply, and your bot holds the context.
