Lower an ISP bill: redacted PDF, ground rules, bot chats the vendor

Your internet bill crept up and you dread the chat maze to get a better rate.

What hurt

George Broussard (@georgebsocial) told Grok Bot (free plan) he wanted a lower internet bill. It asked for a PDF, suggested redacting account number and PIN, walked him through a free Windows redact tool (~5 minutes), then took ground rules: no human call yet, keep 200/200 speed, no new gear or rental fees. The bot handled Frontier's chat; he only took over once to verify email. Result: about $58/month saved on a month-to-month deal, with a script planned for a human follow-up. Not affiliated with xAI.

What to install or create

Redact the bill → write hard ground rules → let the bot chat the ISP → you only verify identity.

The prompt

This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/georgebsocial/status/2111971538085822788 (credit @georgebsocial).
  2. 2Export your ISP bill to PDF; redact account numbers and PINs before sharing.
  3. 3Tell the bot: lower my bill; keep current speed; no new gear/rentals; prefer no human call yet.
  4. 4Let it open the vendor chat; take over only for email/SMS identity checks.
  5. 5Review the offer; keep a month-to-month win and ask the bot for a human-call script if you want more.

Approval fence

You approve any plan change, payment, or follow-up call. The bot drafts; you own the deal.

What to tweak

Steal the fence: redact first, ground rules second, take over only for identity checks.
