'Bring this back Monday': email snooze as a one-time routine

Threads you mean to deal with later get lost in the scroll.

What hurt

@TravisWeathers runs an inbox bot (Harper, a Grok Bot template). Saying 'bring this back Monday' makes it set a one-time routine so the thread is at the top of the inbox Monday morning. In another post they add the rule that made it livable: it only texts between 5am and 10:30pm, so overnight items wait for morning. Not affiliated with xAI.

What to install or create

Say when → one-time routine → thread resurfaces; plus quiet hours.

Bots

  • Inbox bot

Sets one-time snooze routines and respects quiet hours.

Plugins

  • Gmail

Routines

  • None on the first run. Watch one manual pass first.

The prompt

This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/TravisWeathers/status/2113045488715116907 (credit @TravisWeathers).
  2. 2Connect your email to an inbox bot.
  3. 3Tell it: when I say 'bring this back <day>', set a one-time routine to resurface that thread.
  4. 4Add a quiet-hours rule (the author uses 5am to 10:30pm).
  5. 5Try it on one thread and check it reappears.

What to tweak

Steal both rules: snooze by sentence, and a hard quiet-hours window.
