Do the whole task in Grok Bot first — then keep the agent
Building a skill after a one-off Claude session leaves you without a runner.
What hurt
Michael Ducker (@miradu) changed how he works: instead of finishing a task then asking Claude to turn the session into a skill, he does the entire task in Grok Bot the first time — iterate and hill-climb until the output is shippable — and is left with an agent that already does the task automatically. What to install or create
First run = production path in the bot. Iterate until ship. Keep the bot as the automation.
Bots
Task desk
Hill-climbs one task until shippable, then reruns it.
Plugins
None on day one. Follow the first-run steps.
Routines
None on the first run. Watch one manual pass first.
The prompt
This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.
First run
- 1Read https://x.com/miradu/status/2110144661130260618 (credit @miradu).
- 2Pick one recurring task you usually finish elsewhere then try to skill-ify.
- 3Do the whole thing inside a Grok Bot from scratch; iterate until you would ship.
- 4Save the working instructions/routine on that bot — don't rebuild elsewhere.
- 5Next time, run the bot instead of starting a blank chat.
Approval fence
No deploy/send without your yes while hill-climbing.
What to tweak
Steal first-run-in-bot. The leftover agent is the skill.
