Tip only: use Grok chat as a proxy when Bot usage is low
Grok Bot (and sometimes Cursor) usage hits zero while Grok chat still has headroom.
What hurt
RyanTHawks (@ryanthawks) shared a project tip: if you are close to running out of @bot usage, go to @grok, invoke your Bot (e.g. @ bot name), and tell Grok to ask the Bot the tasks needed to complete. In their case Grok used Remote Desktop Commander to spin up Grok Build while out of Cursor usage, took direction from and reported back to the bot — using leftover Grok usage as a proxy. Tip only. What to install or create
Bot/Cursor meter low → Grok chat invokes Bot → RDC/Build does work → reports back to Bot.

The prompt
This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.
First run
- 1Read https://x.com/ryanthawks/status/2105740985023988220 (credit @ryanthawks).
- 2When Grok Bot usage is nearly gone but Grok chat still has balance, open grok.com chat.
- 3Invoke your Bot by name (e.g. @ your-bot) and tell Grok to ask that Bot for the tasks still needed.
- 4Let Grok drive helpers it can reach (author example: Remote Desktop Commander → Grok Build) and report back to the Bot.
- 5Keep merge/deploy/spend as your decisions; this only redistributes which meter pays for the chat.
Approval fence
Treat proxy runs like normal Bot work: approve send/spend/merge yourself.
What to tweak
Steal the proxy path when meters disagree. Grok chat can still talk to your bots.
