Book dinner in chat: schedule check, OTP paste, calendar + cancellation fee flag

Booking a table still means opening an app, making an account, and remembering the fee rules.

What hurt

Gedaliah (@imgedaliah) told a scheduling bot on Grok Bot he wanted a table at 7 PM. It checked his schedule, booked the restaurant (creating an account for him), waited while he pasted a 6-digit SMS code, added dinner to Google Calendar, and flagged the cancellation fee. About two minutes, mostly in one chat. Not affiliated with xAI.

What to install or create

Intent → conflict check → book → human OTP → calendar + fee note.

Bots

  • Scheduling bot

Checks calendar, books tables, waits for your OTP.

Routines

  • None on the first run. Watch one manual pass first.

The prompt

This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/imgedaliah/status/2110865628307358044 (credit @imgedaliah).
  2. 2Connect calendar and give the bot a restaurant + time.
  3. 3Let it check conflicts and start the booking; paste the SMS OTP yourself.
  4. 4Confirm it added the event and noted any cancellation fee.
  5. 5Cancel or change only through a path you approve.

Approval fence

You paste the OTP and confirm the booking; the bot never invents codes.

What to tweak

Steal the OTP-in-chat and cancellation-fee flag.
