Work

Tip only: Alley Cat hunts 1–3 tools; House Cat keeps fleet morale

Forty-seven research tabs is not a hunt — it is tab rot.

What hurt

Ignota (@ignota_regalis) split two Grok Bot roles. Alley Cat (or a morning doorstep routine) comes back with 1–3 kills max: name, why it matters, link — two hunts beat an hour of doomscroll. House Cat does not ship code; she keeps the other bots from turning into sad little office plants between tasks. Tip only — steal the two-role split + morning doorstep. No invented prompt. What to install or create

Two seats. Alley Cat = capped tool hunt. House Cat = fleet morale, not shipping. Morning doorstep can fire the hunt.

The prompt

This is a tip, not a pasteable system prompt. The author did not publish one. Follow the first-run steps.

First run

  1. 1Read https://x.com/ignota_regalis/status/2100390498330624115.
  2. 2Create Alley Cat: return 1–3 tools max (name, why, link) — never a dump.
  3. 3Create House Cat: check sister bots between tasks; she does not ship code.
  4. 4Optional: a morning doorstep routine that fires Alley Cat once.
  5. 5Review the kills yourself. Install, spend, and publish stay behind your yes.

Approval fence

Hunt returns names/why/links only. No install, spend, or publish from either cat without your yes.

What to tweak

Steal Alley Cat = less tab rot; House Cat = keep the fleet alive so you keep building.
