Tip only: hotel phone → always-on Mac skill → Grok Build → Drive

Grok 4.7 landed in Grok Build the day you left your MacBook 420 miles away.

Что болело

Mike P (@mikepat711) docks a MacBook to a Studio Display, sets it never to fully sleep, and keeps a Grok Bot skill that fires when he says “have Grok Build do XYZ.” From a hotel phone he asks the bot to open a terminal on that Mac, run Grok Build, and drop finished work into iCloud or Google Drive so he can grab it on his phone. Tip only — no invented system prompt. Distinct from his earlier phone→Mac Build demo. Not affiliated with xAI.

Что установить или создать

Always-on docked Mac + one skill phrase + deliver to Drive/iCloud + phone prompts only.

Боты

  • Remote Build desk

On the skill phrase, opens Grok Build on the registered Mac and parks output in Drive/iCloud.

Плагины

  • Браузер

    Необязательно

Файлы

  • Named iCloud or Google Drive folder for finished Build output.

Рутины

  • На первом запуске их нет. Сначала пройдите один раз вручную.

Промпт

Это совет, а не системный промпт, который можно вставить. Автор его не опубликовал. Следуйте шагам первого запуска.

Первый запуск

  1. 1Read https://x.com/mikepat711/status/2102191088903606368. Tip only — do not invent a system prompt.
  2. 2Dock a Mac you trust, set it never to fully sleep, and register it with Grok Bot.
  3. 3Add a skill (or standing instruction) that fires on a phrase like “have Grok Build do XYZ”: open Terminal → launch Grok Build → run the ask → write output to a named iCloud or Google Drive folder.
  4. 4From your phone, run one small Build job and confirm the file appears in Drive/iCloud before wider use.
  5. 5Keep Messages, mail send, and spend behind your yes.

Барьер одобрения

Bot may drive the Mac terminal and write files you named. Never send, post, or spend without your yes.

Что поправить

Steal the never-sleep + skill phrase + Drive handoff. Don’t grant free send/spend.
