Weekend AI squad: named roles + CoS quiet mode for quota

One person, one Saturday, a side-project backlog — and chatty bots burning quota.

Jess Temporal (@jesstemporal) built a Grok Bot squad for My Yarn Stash weekends: Dorothea (CoS, 30‑min keep-moving), Francis (CMO), Queenie (QA), Dottie (Developer), Iggy (Infra), Em (Engineering Manager). She ships real features while bots work, then asks CoS to keep communications minimal and watches routines bots spawn (CI follow-ups) so Saturday quota lasts. Tip + author blog — no invented prompts.

Name six seats. You approve stage/preview. CoS quiets chatter. Audit routines bots create.

ボット

  • Dorothea (CoS)

Keeps the squad moving; can run quiet to save quota.

  • Dottie (Developer)

    Codes against docs; follows CI/review.

  • Queenie (QA)

Test data, user paths, unit/integration reports.

  • Iggy (Infra)

DNS, servers, auth domain chores with your gate.

  • Francis (CMO) / Em (EM)

Copy/campaigns; prioritize and assign across projects.

  • Short company/docs the bots read before they invent process.

  • Optional CoS keep-moving cadence (Jess used ~30 min) — lower frequency if quota hurts.

  1. 1Read https://x.com/jesstemporal/status/2102864834849304751 and https://jtemporal.com/i-built-my-ai-squad-in-grok-bot/.
  2. 2Create named seats you actually need (CoS, Dev, QA, Infra, marketing) — not 45 bots.
  3. 3Tell CoS to keep bot-to-bot chatter minimal when quota runs hot.
  4. 4List routines bots create (CI follow-ups, etc.). Pause or thin ones outside your ship window.
  5. 5You still approve stage/preview and production. Ship one real user-value task this weekend.

You still gate staging, production, domain, and spend. No auto-merge to prod without your yes.

Steal named roles + CoS quiet mode + routine watch. Saturday ship without burning the week.
